Recently Ostra International signed an agreement with the government of Venezuela for the introduction of Dutch potato technology. This projects includes, besides modern machines, also know-how transfer in order to modernize the Venezuelan potato sector. See Persbericht Mexico 2009
At this moment the first modern Dutch greenhouse is being build in Venezuela. This project is being executed by Dalsem Horticultural projects. The project has been made possible after a successful market research study executed by Ostra International in cooperation with Dalsem and TCA.
Recently Ostra International received an assignment in Iran. For a large Iranian snack industry a large potato storage incl. handling and grading line will be designed.
In cooperation with Kiremko and TCA in Caracas, Ostra International has recently finished the feasibility study for a customer in Venezuela for a French fries factory. The import procedure with CADIVI has been started for a part of the investment, namely a modern potato storage.
During a Dutch trade mission, Ostra International signed a letter of intent (LOI) with the government of Venezuela to develop the potato sector in Venezuela. Recently the first contracts for technology have been signed.
Ostra International executed a technical assesment in the fruit and vegetable market (Abasto) in Mexico city. This resulted in a commercial proposal and advice for potato washing, handling and packing project. PDF: Mexico
